Zurich property insurance company buys $8.2M in Trump insurance

Zurich property insurer, ZURICH, Switzerland—In the wake of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Zurich property insurers ZURIJK, Zurich Property Insurance, and BHELT, Zurich Insurance have purchased $8,222,094 in Trump property insurance through their Zurich reinsurance operations.

The insurance companies’ purchase of Trump property insured nearly 2,000 properties in Switzerland.

The companies have sold Trump properties for a total of more than $22 billion since Trump’s election.

According to a statement from Zurich Property Insurers, the acquisition of Trump insurance was a “symbolic and strategic decision” made “at the right time.”

Trump has been widely criticized for buying and selling hundreds of properties in the wake to the inauguration of President Trump.

Trump is the fourth-wealthiest person in the world with a net worth of $20 billion, according to Forbes.
